Coach Lori Ulferts is currently head coach of the St. Cloud State University women's basketball team. She grew up in Warren, Minn., and attended the University of North Dakota where she lettered in basketball, volleyball, softball, and field hockey. Ulferts graduated from UND in 1983 with a bachelor's degree in physical education.

After coaching for one season at the high school level, she became a graduate assistant coach and received her master's degree from Frostburg State University in Maryland. Ulferts then spent a season in London, England, where she coached the West London Institute of Higher Education team to a third place finish in the British College Championships.

Ulferts returned to the states and took over the head basketball coaching position at the University of Minnesota-Crookston. She posted four winning seasons, including a 23-4 finish in 1987-88, and an impressive 71-27 overall record. Ulferts and her husband Kyle reside in St. Cloud, along with their son and daughter.
