University of Minnesota Crookston Athletics

The 1973 Hockey Team, under head coach Dale Stinar, who presented the award,  and assistant coach Chuck Habstritt, won the state junior college championship and placed second in the nation. Members of the team included:  Mike O'Neil, Bob Miller, Bruce Gustafson, Kyle Pearson, Dave Sage, Ron Muir, Jerry Hodgson, Jim Noel, Mike Hallie, Mike Davis, Scott Pearson, Bruce Smith, Mark Linnell, Mike Proulx, Jim Clauson, Dana Byfuglien, Wayne Moran, and Dave Currier.
