University of Minnesota Crookston Athletics

 

The University of Minnesota Crookston athletic department is committed to bringing awareness to the importance of inclusion in all of their athletic teams and on the University of Minnesota Crookston campus and in the community. The UMN Crookston Athletics Belonging committee started formation in the fall of 2020 and was expanded and reinvigorated in the fall of 2021. The University of Minnesota Crookston looks to be a leader in championing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the state of Minnesota, the midwest region, and within the NSIC, the USA College Clay Target League, IHSA, ECAC, WCCHA, NCEA, ACHA, and NCAA. The committee works regularly with Christopher Ehrhart, the Director of Diversity, Equity, & Belonging on the University of Minnesota Crookston to address campus and athletic department needs and to expand the breadth of the committee within the campus community.

Mission statement: To educate and bring awareness of individual differences to foster an environment of inclusivity.

Vision: To foster the University of Minnesota - Crookston Athletic Department to be a champion of diversity and inclusion.
