Brenda Russell Kasprick graduated in 1989 from UMC. She was the first woman athlete to carry a 4.0 G.P.A. during her freshman and sophomore basketball seasons. Kasprick was 1988-89 Tri-Captain and team MVP. She was a member of the All-Region Team, All-State Team, All-State Tournament Team, All-Northwest Division 1st Team and Coca-Cola Player of the Week during that season. Kasprick is a teacher at the Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls, Minnesota.
