Crookston, Minn. - Golden Eagles Cross Country is heading south to Sioux Falls, S.D. to compete in the Augustana Twilight, which has been the opening meet since 2022. The men's four mile will begin at 9 p.m. on Friday, September 5th.
The Men's Cross Country team is excited to welcome in five new runners this year: Bennett Allred (Fr., Cedar Rapids, Iowa), Kohen Holcomb (Fr., Marshall, Minn.), Aaden Nauman (So., Windom, Minn.), Brayden Paulsen (Fr., Little Falls, Minn.), and Jonathan Roth (Fr., Sioux Falls, S.D.) who will all look to make their debuts on Friday night. The Golden Eagles will also be welcoming back eight veterans this season.
Last season at the Augustana Twilight, the Golden Eagles placed 15th out of 30 competing teams. Noah Revels (R-Jr., Farmington, Minn.) set the Golden Eagles four mile time at 20:09.59, Connor Thoennes (Sr., Coleraine, Minn.) set his four mile personal record at 20:21.72, and Riley Hanson (R-Jr., Farmington, Minn.) rounded out the top three at 20:47.06, a personal record.
The men's team, much like the women's, will get two weeks before their next meet at the Roy Griak Invitational.
