Jamestown, N.D. - The Golden Eagles soared to new heights at the Jimmie Invitational, placing third out of the eight competing teams. Third place is the highest finish in program history, their previous high was fifth at the Defender Classic in 2025. The Golden Eagles placed second out of the four competing NSIC teams. 

Kohen Holcomb (So., Marshall, Minn.) was the first Golden Eagle across the finish line for the third straight race, finishing eighth out of the 65 competing runners, his final time was 26:16. Aaden Nauman (Jr., Windom, Minn.) also added a top 10 finish to his résumé, placing 10th with a time of 26:22. Third for the Golden Eagles was Carter Flatau (So., Perham, Minn.) placing 15th with a new personal record of 26:54. Riley Hanson (R-Sr., Farmington, Minn.) placed 16th, his time was 26:55. Taylor Johnson (R-Jr., Lake Park, Minn.) was the 22nd runner across the finish line, he had a final time of 27:09. Martin Kuac (Fr., Surrey, British Columbia) finished 25th with a time of 27:14.7, after him it was Reid Wokasch (Fr., Perham, Minn.) in 26th with a final time of 27:14.7. Peter Newark (Fr., Battle Lake, Minn.) came in 29th, his final time was 27:26, a new personal record. Zach Hanson (R-Sr., Farmington, Minn.) was the next runner across for the Golden Eagles, placing 32nd with a time of 27:40. Chase Werner (Jr., Marshall, Minn.) placed 36th, his time was 28:06. Next up was Jonathan Roth (So., Sioux Falls, S.D.) in 37th with a time of 28:12. Lane Hoefs (Sr., Wadena, Minn.) was the final Golden Eagle to cross the finish line; he placed 56th with a final time of 30:04.

The Golden Eagles will now look to wrap up their incredible season in two weeks when they take on the Warrior Invitational in West Salem, Wisconsin. That race will take place on October 23rd at 3 p.m. and will conclude the 2026 regular season. November 7th will be the NSIC Championship in Sioux Falls, South Dakota following the Warrior Invitational.
