SIOUX CENTER, IOWA - The University of Minnesota Crookston men's cross country team set a team 8K mark for fastest time in school history with an average of 26:10, surpassing the previous average of 26:12 at the NSIC Championship in 2024. The Golden Eagles finished eighth of 16 teams Saturday at the Holiday Inn Express Classic at the Dordt Cross Country Course in Sioux Center, Iowa.
Noah Revels set the school record for the 8K with a time of 25:10.26, finishing 16th. Revels broke his previous mark of 25:25 at last year's NSIC Championship. Aaden Nauman clocked in at 26:08.53, finishing 53rd. Riley Hanson set a personal mark in the 8K with a time of 26:17.24. Zach Hanson finished in 26:37.23 for a personal record. Connor Thoennes (Sr., Coleraine, Minn.) clocked in at 26:40.06. Robert Ingle (Jr., Laura, Ohio) notched a time of 26:40.06 for a personal record. Bennett Allred (Fr., Cedar Rapids, Iowa) finished in 27:00.42 for a personal mark. Kohen Holcomb (Fr., Marshall, Minn.) recorded a personal record of 27:24.42. Jonathan Roth (Fr., Sioux Falls, S.D.) clocked in at 28:07.32 for a personal mark. Brayden Paulsen (Fr., Little Falls, Minn.) finished in 28:30.53 for a personal mark.
Chase Werner (So., Marshall, Minn.) and Lane Hoefs (Jr., Wadena, Minn.) competed as individuals. Werner set a personal mark of 27:44.55, while Hoefs finished in 28:24.59.
Augustana University won the race Saturday as a team. Dale Johnson of South Dakota State University was the individual champion with a time of 24:06.44.
The Golden Eagles return to action at the NSIC Championship Friday, October 24 in Wayne, Neb.
