Lake City, Minn. -- Minnesota Crookston women's golf is set for The Jewel Invite on Monday and Tuesday, hosted by Winona State.

The Golden Eagles are coming off a 13th place finish at their first tournament at the Fall Brawl last weekend.

The Golden Eagles' next two tournaments will be at courses where they have historically shot outstanding. Last season at The Jewel, the Golden Eagles shot a 629 through the two rounds at the same tournament, good for the third lowest scoring in program history.

Minnesota Crookston saw a number of freshmen make their debut in the lineup last weekend, including Nayonika Kapoor (Fr., Bangalore, India) and Dani Tinklenberg (Fr., Williston, N.D.). Kapoor and Tinklenberg finished in a tie for 54th and 60th, respectively.

Ainsley McLain (Sr., Grafton, N.D.) and Libby Dulmage (Sr., Leeds, N.D.) will also be in the lineup for the Golden Eagles.

The field will be heavy NSIC. Including the Golden Eagles, the field includes: Concordia-St. Paul, Southwest Minnesota State, Minot State, Sioux Falls, Minnesota State, Upper Iowa, Bemidji State, Winona State, Augustana, MSU Moorhead, UMary and St. Cloud State.

The tournament will tee off tomorrow morning and carry into Tuesday.
