Lake City, Minn. -- After a solid day yesterday for Minnesota Crookston women's golf, which saw them sit in eighth place following the first round, they stayed put during the second round, finishing in eighth place out of 12 teams at The Jewel Invite, hosted by Concordia-St. Paul.

In a field full of NSIC programs, Augustana won the tournament after carding a 610 through the tournament, while their Sioux Falls counterpart, The University of Sioux Falls came in second after finishing with a 615.

Concordia-St. Paul finished in third, while Upper Iowa and Minnesota State finished in a tie for fourth.

Addi Wood of Concordia-St. Paul finished in first after shooting two over, while Megan Young of Winona State finished second.

Ainsley McLain (Sr., Grafton, N.D.) was nothing short of spectacular on Tuesday, carding a career-low 74 on the day, good for the fifth lowest score in program history. McLain finished the day with two birdies and eagle a par four on hole 17.

Libby Dulmage (Sr., Leeds, N.D.) improved upon her day one by three strokes, shooting an 81 on the day and finished in a tie for 32nd. Nayonika Kapoor (Fr., Bangalore, India) finished in a tie for 36th after a final round 86. Laura Sitter (Fr., Medora, Minn.) and Dani Tinklenberg (Fr., Williston, N.D.) finished in a tie for 58th and 62nd, respectively.

The Golden Eagles will now compete at the EverSpring Inn & Suites Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, where the Golden Eagles have the two lowest scores in program history.
