Women's Golf | 5/14/2025 11:46:00 AM
Burnsville, Minn. – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced the All-Conference teams on Wednesday morning for women's golf. For the second straight year,
Anaka Lysne (Jr., Wahpeton, N.D.) sees her name on the list. The soon-to-be senior was named to the All-NSIC Second Team.
It's the first time in program history the Golden Eagles have had a golfer named to an all-conference team in back-to-back years and the first time ever a Golden Eagle has made the list in two separate seasons. Lysne was named to the first team a season ago, being the first and only Golden Eagle to earn that honor.
Lanie Veenendall of Augustana was voted the NSIC Golfer of the Year, while Emerson Garlie of Minnesota State was named the Newcomer of the Year. Alex Schmitz, who is in his third season at Minnesota State, was named the Coach of the Year for the second straight season.
Lysne helped the Golden Eagles to their best season in program history. The native of Wahpeton helped her team to a school record eight top-10 finishes, including a program best seventh at the NSIC Championships.
Individually, Lysne had four top-10 finishes, including a first place finish at the SMSU Classic in mid-March. Lysne and teammate
Clara Hanson (Sr., Grand Forks, N.D.) each won a tournament this season. Lysne had three top-five finishes on the season, as well.
