2023-24 (Junior): Hanson had a stroke average of 83.1...She shot an 85 and an 84 at the Tracy Lane Memorial...Had an 84 in the first round of the CSP/MSU Fall Brawl...Hanson carded a pair of 80's for her season-best at the Watkins Invite...Carded an 80 and 83 at the Mustang Invite...Hanson scored an 81 in the second round of the USF Invitational...Carded an 81 and an 80 at the SMSU Classic...Carded an 81 in the first round of the NSIC Championship.
2022-23 (Sophomore): Hanson had an 85.6 stroke average with one top 10 finish...She shot a pair of 79's, and finished sixth at the Tipsinah Mounds Invite...Carded an 81 and an 83 at the Mustang Invite...Scored an 82 in the second round of the Augie Invitational...Carded an 86 in the first round of the NSIC Tournament.
2021-22 (Freshman): Hanson averaged 86.8 to lead the way for the Golden Eagles during the 2021-22 season...Hanson's 78 at the SMSU Spring Invite was the best round by a Golden Eagle since 2016...Hanson shot an 80 at the Augustana Fall Invite.
Prior to UMN Crookston: Hanson comes to the University of Minnesota Crookston with a number of high school accolades...The former Knight is a two-time member of the all-EDC golf team, North Dakota all-EDC Tournament team (2020), was a runner-up in the EDC in 2020, was a member of the North Dakota all-state 2020 team and was her team MVP three-straight seasons...Hanson gets it done in the classroom as well...She is a member of the National Honor Society as well as making the honor roll every year in high school...Hanson is also a current chapter president for DECA and FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America).
Personal: Clara is the daughter of Brenda and Randy Hanson...She was born on April 27, 2003...She plans to major in marketing at the University of Minnesota Crookston...Her brother Ricky Phillips played golf at Minnesota Crookston from 2014-18.
