Blue Springs, Mo. -- Minnesota Crookston women's golf shot 320 as a team on Thursday afternoon during the second round of the NSIC Championships, moving down three spots to fourth. Minnesota Crookston heads into the final round fourth out of 13 teams.
Individually, Anaka Lysne (Sr., Wahpeton, N.D.) will head into the final round in a tie for first place at four over par. She is tied with Gaia Stancikova of Wayne State College.
Emma Pierson (Fr., Cherry Valley, Ill.) moved up a spot after a second round 77 and is in a tie for fifth place.
Minnesota State leads the field by six strokes, while Concordia-St. Paul and Wayne State College are in second and third. The Golden Eagles are within striking distance of second, trailing the Golden Bears by five strokes.
Ainsley McLain (Jr., Grafton, N.D.) was fantastic on Thursday, shooting eight over par and moving up seven spots and sits in a tie for 28th with teammate Lauren Bowyer (Sr., Ivanhoe, Minn.). Libby Dulmage (Jr., Leeds, N.D.) sits in 42nd.
Minnesota Crookston had five birdies as a team during the round.
Fourth place is the highest the Golden Eagles have been after the first two rounds in program history.
The final round will take place tomorrow.
