Smithville, Mo. – During day two at the NSIC Championships at the Paradise Pointe Golf Complex in Missouri, Minnesota Crookston women's golf moved down a spot to end the day in seventh.
Minnesota State looks well on their way to the title, as the Mavericks have an 18 stroke lead with 18 holes to play. Augustana and Wayne State College are in second and third, respectively. Sioux Falls and Winona State round out the top five.
Emerson Garlie of Minnesota State is in the lead, carding one over par through 36 holes.
Ainsley McLain (So., Grafton, N.D.) and
Clara Hanson (Sr., Grand Forks, N.D.) are each pacing the Golden Eagles as they are in a tie for 21
st. McLain finished with one birdie during the round.
Anaka Lysne (Jr., Wahpeton, N.D.) fell to 24
th, but did have a birdie on the day.
Lauren Bowyer (Jr., Ivanhoe, Minn.) and
Libby Dulmage (So., Leeds, S.D.) are in 45
th and 52
nd, respectively.
Minnesota Crookston is still within striking distance of the top five and they will look for a great round tomorrow morning for a shotgun start at 9 A.M., on Sunday.
