LARCHWOOD, Iowa - The University of Minnesota Crookston women's golf team sits in a tie for fifth out of 13 teams at the USF Invitational at Grand Falls Casino and Golf Resort in Larchwood, Iowa. The Golden Eagles shot an opening round 319 on the Par-72 course. 

The Golden Eagles have shot five rounds of 319 or under during the fall season Minnesota Crookston only had five rounds of 319 or under since 2006 prior to the 2025-26 season. Minnesota Crookston is tied with the University of Mary for fifth. They lead Augustana University by two strokes. The Golden Eagles are one stroke back of Concordia University-St. Paul in fourth. They are 12 strokes behind course leader Winona State University.

Emma Pierson (Fr., Cherry Valley, Ill.) is in fourth place in the tournament after shooting a three-over-par 75. Pierson has shot rounds of 74, 75, and 76 in her first fall of collegiate golf. She is three strokes behind the individual leaders. Ainsley McLain (Jr., Grafton, N.D.) carded a four-over-par 76 and is in seventh. McLain's previous low this season was 77 at the MSU/CSP Fall Brawl. Anaka Lysne (Sr., Wahpeton, N.D.) carded an opening round 81 and is in 20th. Lauren Bowyer (Sr., Ivanhoe, Minn.) posted an 87. Libby Dulmage (Jr., Leeds, N.D.) carded a 94, while Victoria Olson (So., Cook, Minn.) posted a 96. 

Minnesota Crookston will conclude their fall season and the USF Invitational Tuesday, October 14 in Larchwood, Iowa.
