Marshall, Minn. – Minnesota Crookston women's golf finished the EverSpring Inn & Suite Mustang Invite shooting 624 through two rounds and tying with Chadron State and Minnesota State (B) for a three-way tie for second out of 13 teams.
The 624 team score by the Golden Eagles is a new school record for a tournament in program history.
It's the second time this season with a second-place finish for the Golden Eagles.
Minnesota State won the tournament by 17 strokes.
Emerson Garlie of Minnesota State finished first, while her teammate Victoria Woytassek finished in second.
Anaka Lysne (Sr., Wahpeton, N.D.) paced the way for the Golden Eagles with her third top 10 finish of the season, shooting four over par on the day and finishing with two birdies.
Ainsley McLain (Jr., Grafton, N.D.) continues to play well this season, finishing in a tie for 13
th.
Emma Pierson (Fr., Cherry Valley, Ill.) and
Lauren Bowyer (Sr., Ivanhoe, Minn.) also finished in the top 25, placing in 18
th and 22
nd, respectively.
Libby Dulmage (Jr., Leeds, N.D.) also shot well throughout the tournament, finishing in 31
st and added a birdie on par three on the day.
The Golden Eagles will close out the fall season in two weeks at the USF Invitational in Larchwood, Iowa.
