Minnesota Crookston (14-33, 8-14 NSIC)

It was a weird doubleheader on Wednesday against MSU Moorhead. The Golden Eagles couldn't score much in game one, but scored 15 runs in game two, including 11 in the final two innings to earn the split with MSU Moorhead. Minnesota Crookston will look for some magic in the final two weekends of the season to earn an NSIC Tournament spot.

The Golden Eagles will also honor their five seniors on Saturday. Emilee Haggadone, Ruth Freiberg, Charlotte Dombrowski, Irelyn Spencer and Sophie Juntunen will all be recognized. All five have been with the program for four seasons.

The Golden Eagle offense heated up in a big way, for the most part, this past week. Minnesota Crookston is hitting .280 as a team, which would be a school record. Thanks to a .417 batting average in 20 conference games, Rayna French is leading the way with a .328 average with five, three-hit games in conference play and six overall. Chayse Doering is having a special season as well, hitting .321 with 27 runs scored, nine doubles, six triples and 31 RBI. Emily Kalina and Valerie VanZant are each hitting over .300 on the year. All of which are underclassmen. The Golden Eagles hit four home runs on the week, which nearly matched their total of five heading into the past four games.

Charlotte Dombrowski saw her ERA balloon a little bit on Wednesday against the Dragons, but she was still able to earn a win, moving to 7-8 on the season. The Golden Eagles have a 5.92 ERA as a team on the season.

St. Cloud State (36-12, 18-4)

SCSU is having another fantastic season, sitting in second place in the Northern Sun.

The Huskies are hitting .292 as a team and have five hitters above the .300 mark. SCSU is led by Bethany Weiss, who is hitting .351 with five home runs and 41 RBI. Sydney Roe and Morgan Honeycutt each have six home runs and have combined for more than 60 RBI.

The Huskies have a really dominant pitching staff. SCSU has 11 shutouts on the season and have a sub-two ERA. Macey Clark and Justyce Porter, a native of Washington, have combine for 29 wins and just 11 losses on the season. Clark has 121 strikeouts on the season, which is near the top in the NSIC.

Concordia-St. Paul (23-22, 12-10 NSIC)

The Golden Bears will come to Crookston fighting for their lives in the NSIC Tournament race.

CSP started 8-0 in conference play, but is 4-10 since that stretch and have lost two in a row. The Golden Bears hit .267 as a team and have four hitters over the .300 mark. Alexis Monty leads CSP with a .317 average. Danni Sharum is hitting above .300 and has five home runs and 24 RBI and leads her team in OPS. CSP has a run differential of just two runs, which suggests CSP has lost a handful of close games.

CSP is another NSIC school that has a great pitching staff. The Golden Bears have a team ERA of 3.12. Three Golden Bears have made 20 or more appearances; Abi Carter, Tatum Dunlavy and Emmy Browne have made 21, 22 and 25 appearances, respectively. Browne has 13 complete games on the season.
