GREENWOOD, Ind. - The University of Minnesota Crookston softball team had five student-athletes named to the 2026 Academic All-District Softball teams, selected by the College Sports Communicators. 

Chayse Doering, Charlotte Dombrowski, Rayna French, Gabrielle Gomez, and Madisen Yandle earned the accolade for the Golden Eagles. In order to be eligible, you must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher, must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings or more. 

Doering has a 3.85 GPA in criminal justice. Dombrowski earned her degree after notching a 3.87 GPA in accounting. French posted a 3.66 GPA in exercise science and wellness. Gomez had a 3.70 GPA in health sciences, and Yandle posted a 3.54 GPA in health management. 

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. 

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
