After a dominating home sweep of Highway-2 Rivals Bemidji State on Monday afternoon, Minnesota Crookston softball will head on the road at MSU Moorhead for a doubleheader on Wednesday.
It's funny what a sweep where you score 22 runs in one day can do for your offense. Minnesota Crookston is hitting .278 as a team, up 10 points from just two games ago. Rayna French leads the way with a .320 average, while Chayse Doering is hitting .315. Freshmen Valerie VanZant and Emily Kalina are each hitting above .300. Doering and Kalina have combined for 46 runs on the season. Doering leads the Golden Eagles with three home runs on the season.
In the circle, the Golden Eagles got another complete game from Charlotte Dombrowski in game one against Bemidji State on Monday, giving the senior seven on the season.
