Minnesota Crookston (11-30, 5-11)

Minnesota Crookston softball is now in the crunch time in conference play. The Golden Eagles are coming off back-to-back one win weekends and will look to reverse that this weekend.

The Golden Eagles have never beaten Minnesota Duluth in NSIC play and are 2-1 against Bemidji State, dating back to 2024.

The Golden Eagle offense has been solid this season, hitting .270 on the season, but just .255 as a team in NSIC play. In conference play, the Golden Eagles have four players with 14 or more starts who are hitting above .300. Rayna French has been dialed in against conference opponents, hitting .410 with eight RBI. Freshmen Valerie VanZant and Megan Surgenor are hitting .319 and .317, respectively, in NSIC play. Madisen Yandle has started all 16 NSIC games and is hitting .314. Minnesota Crookston has won a number of tight, low scoring games in conference play, winning by a combined 12 runs in NSIC play.

Charlotte Dombrowski continues to pitch outstandingly in the circle, as the senior is 5-6 with a 3.48 ERA and leads the Golden Eagles with 68.1 innings pitched. Dombrowski has pitched over half of the innings by a Golden Eagle in conference play. Minnesota Crookston has a 5.50 ERA as a team in conference play.

Minnesota Duluth (22-17, 7-9 NSIC)

Perennial power Minnesota Duluth is 7-9 in conference play and are coming off a split on the weekend, going 2-2 against Jamestown and Northern State.

Another year, another solid Bulldog offense. Minnesota Duluth is hitting .301 as a team and have six hitters above the .300 line. Ava Johnson is having a fantastic season, hitting .398, with an OPS above 1.200. Johnson and Sierra Thomas have combined for 54 RBI on the season. Kendal Jenkins has driven in 27 RBI, while Daphne Evans and Morgan McMillan have driven in 26 runs each.

In the circle, expect both Emmie Sylvia-Cochran and Alyssa Williams to each get a start. Williams, the senior and Sylvia-Cochran, the freshman, have each made 18 starts on the season and have combined for 19 of the 22 wins on the year. They have also combined for 17 complete games, as well.
