Crookston, Minn. -- Minnesota Crookston softball, coming off a historic win last Sunday on the road at Augustana, is back in action in NSIC play on Friday and Saturday against Northern State and Jamestown. Due to snow and cold temperatures, Minnesota Crookston will relocate to Aberdeen and Jamestown for the two doubleheaders.
The Golden Eagles come into the weekend with a 9-24 record and 3-5 record in the Northern Sun. The Golden Eagles currently sit in ninth place in the NSIC. The top ten teams in the conference make the conference tournament.
Minnesota Crookston will be the home team for both days this weekend.

Minnesota Crookston (9-24, 3-5 NSIC)
The Golden Eagles are coming off a historic win, defeating Augustana for the first time ever last Sunday, 2-1. It was an important win for the maroon and gold, who sit in ninth early on in the Northern Sun standings.
Emily Kalina has started all but two games as a freshman and is hitting .333 on the season and has driven in 16 runs. Chayse Doering has had a fantastic season as a sophomore, hitting .301 and has driven in a team-leading 23 runs. Her lone home run this season was an inside-the-parker, the second of her career. Minnesota Crookston has 63 extra base hits on the season. The Golden Eagles are hitting .269 as a team.
In the circle, the Golden Eagles have been led by Charlotte Dombrowski. The senior was the catalyst in the win over the Vikings, going the distance for the third time in four starts and gave up just one earned run on five hits. The Golden Eagles have a team ERA of 5.78.
Northern State (8-16)
Northern State enters the season looking to improve on last year's results while returning key players on both offense and pitching. The Wolves bring experience in the lineup and will look to build momentum as the season continues.
Offensively, Northern State is led by Tevan Bryant, who recorded 20 hits, 26 RBIs, and a .370 batting average. Aune Boben also provides strength at the plate, hitting .350 with 28 hits and 16 runs, giving the Wolves consistent hitters in the lineup.
In the circle, Northern State relies on McKenzie Wanner, who recorded 56 strikeouts with a 3.80 ERA while allowing 51 runs. Her experience will be important for the Wolves as they continue through the season.
University of Jamestown (19-12)
Jamestown enters the season after posting a strong 19–12 record and returns several key contributors on both offense and pitching. The Jimmies bring experience at the plate and in the circle as they look to continue building on last season's success.
Offensively, Jamestown is led by Trinity Gregg, who hit .411 with 39 hits and 32 runs. Maddie Spaeth is another important part of the lineup, posting a .379 batting average with 36 hits, 19 runs, and 23 RBIs.
In the circle, Aubrey Quern leads the pitching staff with a 3.09 ERA, allowing 32 runs while recording 71 strikeouts. Her performance will be key as the Jimmies continue their season.
