Mayetta, Kan. -- Minnesota Crookston women's golf shot 320 on Tuesday afternoon, the second time in three rounds they did that at the Firekeeper Open, placing the maroon and gold in eighth place out of 13 teams.
The Golden Eagles moved down a spot after finishing the day yesterday in seventh place.
Nebraska-Kearney and Washburn finished in a tie for first place, while Wayne State College finished three strokes ahead of Central Oklahoma for third place. Northwest Missouri State used a strong day of 310 to finish 10 strokes ahead of the Golden Eagles in seventh.
Lanie Veenendall of Augustana won the tournament after shooting two under par on Tuesday. Addi Wood of Concordia-St. Paul and Pella Broms of Nebraska-Kearney placed second and third, respectively.
Anaka Lysne (Sr., Wahpeton, N.D.), who finished yesterday in a tie for tenth, moved down the leaderboard and finished in 13th place, shooting a third round 77 on the day. Emma Pierson (Fr., Cherry Valley, Ill.) moved up one spot and also shot a 77 in the final round, finishing in a tie for 23rd.
Lauren Bowyer (Sr., Ivanhoe, Minn.) shot 14 over on the day and placed in a tie for 50th. Libby Dulmage (Jr., Leeds, N.D.) was good on Tuesday, shooting eight over par and finishing in a tie for 56th. Ainsley McLain (Jr., Grafton, N.D.) was 16 over on the day.
The Golden Eagles will be back in Missouri next weekend at the NSIC Preview at Adams Pointe Golf Club, hosted by Minnesota State.
