Minnesota Crookston
The Golden Eagles will head down to Florida with a 2-12 overall record, but have a chance to continue their success in Florida in recent years. Madeline Murray is the lone Golden Eagle to have an average of above .300 this season, hitting .323 with a home run and two RBI. Emily Kalina is hitting .293 and has six runs knocked in on the season. Sophomores Riley Blake and Chayse Doering are hitting .273 and .263, respectively on the season. In their recent trip to Kansas, the Golden Eagles raised their team batting average by about 30 points.
In the circle, Megan Surgenor has been solid, leading the Golden Eagles in games started with seven. She leads the way with three complete games. The Golden Eagles have a team ERA of 6.55.
Salem University
Salem dropped a competitive doubleheader against California (PA), falling 4–2 in game one and 3–1 in eight innings in game two, but showed strong pitching and resilience throughout the day.
Offensively, freshman Kendall Lemley highlighted game one with a two-run home run and finished with two RBIs. Brooke Wise and Alyssa Schultz each recorded two hits in the opener. In game two, Abigail Harki drove in Salem's lone run, while Kylie Zinn, Lemley, Kyliegh Cook, and Alexis Valverde each added a hit.
In the circle, Lemley struck out five over seven innings in game one, and Franchesca Alvaro delivered a steady eight-inning performance in game two, allowing just two earned runs. Salem will look to build on the strong pitching performances moving forward.
Gannon University
Gannon opened the 2026 season with a strong showing at the Glenville State Tournament, finishing 2–2 behind standout performances from Emma Smerick and Katie Armstrong, who both earned PSAC West Athlete of the Week honors.
Offensively, Smerick, the reigning PSAC West Athlete of the Year, hit .467 (7-for-15) with six runs, six RBIs, and three home runs. She posted a .500 on-base percentage and a 1.133 slugging percentage, recording multiple hits in three of four games to lead the Golden Knights' lineup.
In the circle, Armstrong was dominant, pitching 8.1 innings across two appearances with a 0.84 ERA. She allowed just one earned run on five hits while striking out 11, earning a complete-game win and a save during opening weekend.
Davenport University
Davenport split Saturday's action in Titusville, Fla., falling 4–1 to St. Cloud State before bouncing back with a 9–4 win over Bridgeport to earn its first victory of the season.
Offensively, Ally Prasnjak led the way with a three-RBI performance in game two, including multiple RBI singles to help extend and seal the Panthers' lead. Alaina Schwanke added two hits and two RBIs in the win, while Chloe Parker delivered a key RBI double. In game one, Chloe Bruman scored Davenport's lone run, and Prasnjak reached base three times to pace the lineup.
In the circle, Kayla Widner started game one, striking out four across four innings. Jordan Empie was strong in relief throughout the day, including two hitless innings with two strikeouts in the win over Bridgeport. Schwanke earned the victory in game two, tossing 3 1/3 innings and allowing just one earned run while striking out six.
Walsh University
The team heads into its next matchup looking to build off strong individual performances on both sides of the ball. Consistency at the plate and steady pitching will be key as they prepare for their upcoming opponent.
Offensively, Laney Ferrance and Lindsey Leeds have set the tone at the top of the lineup. Both hitters went 2-for-3 in their last outing, each posting a .667 average for the game. Ferrance added an RBI, while Leeds consistently put the ball in play and applied pressure early. Their ability to get on base and spark scoring opportunities will be crucial moving forward.
In the circle, Gauri Naik is coming off a complete-game performance where she tossed seven innings, allowing just two runs (one earned) while striking out four. Naik showed strong command and composure, keeping hitters off balance and limiting big innings.
West Virginia Wesleyan University
West Virginia Wesleyan looks to regroup after a competitive opening weekend that featured strong offensive production and solid outings in the circle despite falling in all three contests. The Bobcats showed flashes of momentum and will aim to turn those positives into results in their upcoming matchup.
Offensively, Gracey Arnold has been a key catalyst early, going 4-for-8 with five RBIs over the first two games of the weekend. She recorded a double and consistently delivered in RBI situations. Madison Austra also provided power, launching a home run against Gannon and adding a double against Seton Hill. Trinity Nowicki contributed her first home run of the season in the finale against Bowie State, while Jaelyn Riley added speed on the bases with a stolen base and multiple key at-bats. Overall, the Bobcats generated timely hits but will look to capitalize more consistently in scoring situations.
In the circle, Morgan Greene delivered two strong appearances, including a complete game with nine strikeouts against Bowie State. She combined for 11 strikeouts over the weekend and limited earned runs despite defensive miscues behind her. Josi Fix also provided valuable relief innings, keeping games within reach.
Ursuline College
Ursuline heads into next weekend with momentum after a dominant doubleheader sweep over Point Park, combining timely offense with strong performances in the circle. The Arrows outscored the Pioneers 17–7 across the two games and showed balance on both sides of the ball.
Offensively, the Arrows were powered by the Earl duo. Heidi Earl led the way with five RBIs, two runs, and two hits on the day, including a key double that helped spark a sixth-inning rally in game one. Holly Earl added four hits, three RBIs, and two runs, consistently driving in runs in clutch situations. Casey Barton also played a major role, collecting five hits and scoring three runs, while Bri Bowles contributed two RBIs and steady production at the plate. Ivanney Ramirez added a triple and an RBI to ignite early momentum in game one.
In the circle, Kathleen Wack earned the win in game one, tossing 6.2 innings while allowing just four hits and striking out three. Olivia Franko followed with a strong complete-game performance in game two, limiting Point Park to just two hits over seven innings to secure the sweep.
Rockhurst University
Rockhurst heads into its next slate of games after competing against two nationally ranked opponents at the Top Gun Midwest College Classic. Despite falling to No. 23 Pittsburg State and No. 17 Central Oklahoma, the Hawks showed offensive firepower and strong pitching performances that they'll look to build on moving forward.
Offensively, Emma Reeves and Mya Bristow powered the lineup in game one, combining for two home runs and five RBIs. Claire Long also made a major impact over the weekend, hitting a two-run home run against Central Oklahoma and collecting multiple hits across the two games. McKenna Lester added timely hits, while Emma Fulk contributed on the base paths with stolen bases and a run scored. The Hawks demonstrated their ability to generate runs against top-tier competition.
In the circle, Riley Braden delivered an impressive outing in game one, striking out 10 batters across seven innings. Avery Huffman followed with six strong innings against Central Oklahoma, recording five strikeouts and keeping the game within reach.
Malone University
Malone heads into its next matchup after splitting a doubleheader on the road against Salem, showing strong pitching in game one and competitive offense throughout the day. The Pioneers now sit at 4-2 and will look to build off their early-season momentum.
Offensively, Mia Rose set the tone in both games. She recorded multiple RBIs on the day, including an RBI in the first inning of game one and another RBI single in the sixth to extend Malone's lead. In game two, Rose reached base early and drove in Morgan Cantrell to give the Pioneers a quick start. Masyn Baker also contributed an RBI groundout, while Sidney Conti and Lacie Quarles each crossed the plate in key moments.
In the circle, Rose was dominant in game one, earning the complete-game shutout with 12 strikeouts and closing the seventh inning with two strikeouts and a groundout. In game two, Baker struck out six over her outing, allowing three runs, while Summer McCaw provided solid relief with three strikeouts and just one hit allowed.
D'Youville University
D'Youville heads into its next matchup with momentum after sweeping Point Park in a Saturday doubleheader, improving to 3-2 on the season. The Saints showed balance all day, combining timely hitting, aggressive base running, and key pitching performances to secure wins of 4-1 and 11-8.
Offensively, Danielle Fenlong was a major contributor, driving in multiple runs across the two games and consistently getting on base. Summer Clark also had a big day at the plate, collecting multiple hits, including a double, and adding RBIs in both contests. In game two, Shannon Howes provided a spark with three stolen bases and two runs scored, while Hailee Jenkins delivered a clutch double that drove in three runs. Mikayla Hussar came up big off the bench with a pinch-hit, two-RBI single in the sixth inning to help seal the 11-8 win.
In the circle, Clark was dominant in game one, tossing a complete game while allowing just one hit and striking out five. In game two, Hadley Donnelly started and recorded three strikeouts over four innings, and Clark returned to pitch two scoreless innings with four strikeouts to secure the victory.
Thomas More University
Thomas More heads into its next matchup after splitting games at Lincoln Memorial, earning a 4-2 win over Bloomsburg before falling 13-7 to the host Railsplitters. The Saints now sit at 4-6 overall and will look to build off strong offensive production from several key contributors.
Offensively, Alisha Fox led the way across both games. In game one, she went 2-for-2 with a triple and two RBIs, and she followed that up in game two by going 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs. Brooklynn Couch also provided steady production, collecting multiple hits over the two games, while Haylee Palmer continued to contribute in key scoring situations. Emma Fegan and Ashtyn Elbe added important hits in game two as the Saints battled back offensively.
In the circle, Fox delivered a complete-game performance in game one, pitching seven innings while allowing just two earned runs and striking out six. In game two, Thomas More utilized multiple pitchers, with Kendyl Feutz, Kylie Ropp, Becca LeMay, and Avery Gottlieb each seeing time in the circle.
