Minnesota Crookston (0-4)

It was tough sledding for the Golden Eagles in Branson last weekend, losing all four games and scoring just seven runs in four games. The Golden Eagles finished the weekend with just 16 hits, nine of which coming off the bat of Riley Blake (5) and Valerie VanZant (4). Blake also hit a home run and drove in a pair of runs on the weekend. Chayse Doering finished with two hits.

In the circle, the Golden Eagles will look for more consistency in the circle. Megan Surgenor earned two starts and was solid, striking out nine and walking just six, four of those walks coming in one start. Delaney Penner struck out 11 in 6.1 innings of work.

University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (4-1 so far in 2026)

The Mountain Lions are off to a strong 4-1 start to their season with a loss to the #8 ranked team West Texas A&M. The Golden Eagles are looking to face a team of seasoned veterans on the diamond. The Mountain Lions feature 15 returners along with multiple All-RMAC performers including Jennavieve Goldsworth who was recently named RMAC softball player of the week after week 1.

Offensively the Mountain Lions were led by Senior Alyssa Gutierrez and Junior Jennavieve Goldsworth. Gutierrez has made a significant impact at the plate hitting .700 and recording 7 hits, 5 runs scored, and 3 RBIs. Goldsworth has been steady at the plate hitting .591 on the season so far recording 13 hits, 8 runs, and 3 RBIs

In the Circle, the Mountain Lions have leaned on Autumn Kunze early in the season. Kunze has pitched 12 innings and holds a 2-0 record with a 0.55 ERA. She has only given up 8 hits and has been a reliable option in the circle throughout the first week.

University of Colorado Pueblo (1-4)

Offensively, the ThunderWolves are led by senior Caitlyn Cole, a Preseason All-Conference selection and All-American. Cole is hitting .389 on the season and has totaled 7 hits, 5 runs scored, and 1 RBI, continuing to be a steady presence at the top of the lineup.

In the circle, CSU Pueblo has relied on McKenna James early in the year. James owns a 1–2 record with a 2.14 ERA across 16 innings pitched, striking out seven batters and providing consistent innings for the ThunderWolves.

CSU Pueblo placed two players on the 2026 Preseason All-Conference Team, with Cole joined by senior shortstop Madelyn Huerta. Huerta earned all-conference honors in 2025 and has made a huge impact in the field and is ready to lead the ThunderWolves defensively.

Adams State University (0-5)

The Grizzlies of Adams State University are looking to capture their first win of the season. But with only the loss of 1 senior the Grizzlies are looking to use their experience as an advantage. Despite a tough start to their 2026 season the Grizzlies have shown promising performances in several areas

Offensively the Grizzlies are led by Sophomore Isabel Rodriguez who has shown consistency at the plate. Rodriguez is hitting .444 early in the season and has put up 4 hits, 1 RBI, and has contributed 1 run. Rodriguez has been a steady presence in the lineup for Adams State.

In the Circle, Adams State has leaned on both Junior Aubree Davis and Senior Aryana Muñoz. Davis has been very effective in limited appearances, posting a .84 ERA across 8 innings pitched with 7 strikeouts, and only allowing 2 runs. Muñoz has 13 innings under her belt already and has recorded an ERA of 8.62 with 13 strikeouts so far this year.

Texas A&M University -Kingsville (0-4)

Texas A&M University -Kingsville is looking for their first win of the season. After returning only 2 starters to the lineup the Javelinas are relying on a young lineup to step up into major roles. Despite the slow start, the Javelinas have already seen encouraging flashes from their newcomers.

Offensively, freshman Kennia Chong has wasted no time making an impact. Chong leads the team with a .429 batting average tailing 3 hits, 2 runs, and 4 RBIs. Chong has quickly emerged as a key piece in the middle of the order. Her early-season consistency has provided a much-needed spark for the Javelinas

In the circle, the Javelinas have turned to sophomore Esther Martinez to anchor the pitching staff. Martinez has logged 10 innings so far, posting a 5.91 ERA with 7 strikeouts. While facing challenging teams early on Martines has allowed 18 hits so far this season but has been a very reliable source for the Javelinas early on in the season.
