Crookston, Minn. - The Golden Eagles will finish out the regular season this Friday in West Salem, Wisconsin at the Warrior Invitational. The last time we saw the Golden Eagles was at the Jimmie Invitational on October 2nd, where they posted their highest finish in program history as they finished in third.
Kohen Holcomb (So., Marshall, Minn.) has been the top Golden Eagle so far this season, finishing first for the team in each race so far. Holcomb was spectacular at the Jimmie Invitational, finishing eighth of the 65 runners that competed. Aaden Nauman was also fantastic for the Golden Eagles at the Jimmie Invitational, finishing in 10th place and as the second Golden Eagle. Nauman has been the second Golden Eagle across the finish line in each race this season, giving the Golden Eagles consistency at the top. The team has had a different third place finisher in each race this season, which has allowed the Golden Eagles to showcase just how deep they are.
The Golden Eagles will look to finish this regular season as strongly as they started it. This will be the first time the program has competed in the Warrior Invitational, and they will look to make a memorable debut. The men's race is set to begin at 3 p.m. this Friday, October 23rd.
