Lake City, Minn. – Minnesota Crookston women's golf continues to come close to the record books. On Monday afternoon at the first round of the Jewel Tournament in Lake City, Minn., Minnesota Crookston finished with a team score of 311, sitting in sixth place.

The 311 team score tied the school record for the Golden Eagles, which was set last season in Marshall, Minn.

Minnesota State sits in first place, while Arkansas-Fort Smith and Winona State sit in second and third place, respectively. Wayne State College is in fifth place and just two strokes ahead of the maroon and gold.

Anaka Lysne (Sr., Wahpteton, N.D.) was nothing short of spectacular on Monday, shooting a 72. Lysne sits in fourth place following the first day. It's the second time Lysne has finished with a 72 in her career. Lauren Bowyer (Sr., Ivanhoe, Minn.) was spectacular as well, shooting a career low 78 on the day and sits in 19th place. Bowyer and Lysne each had one birdie on the day.
