Marshall, Minn. – Minnesota Crookston women's golf set a new team record on Saturday afternoon, finishing round one at the EverSpring Inn & Suite Mustang Invite shooting a 310 as a team, placing them in second place out of 13 programs as of the time of writing. The 310 is a new school record, besting the previous record by a stroke.
Currently, Minnesota Crookston has three golfers in a tie for eighth place, after each shooting a 77.
Anaka Lysne (Sr., Wahpeton, N.D.),
Ainsley McLain (Jr., Grafton, N.D.) and
Lauren Bowyer (Sr., Ivanhoe, Minn.), who shot a career low, each sit in eighth place.
Emma Pierson (Fr., Cherry Valley, Ill.) carded a 79 and is in 18
th, while
Libby Dulmage (Jr., Leeds, N.D.) was also fantastic on the day, also carding a career low of 81 and sitting in 31
st.
As of the time of writing, Minnesota State is in first place, while Minnesota Crookston sits in second.
Minnesota Crookston will look to finish strong for the second and final round on Sunday.
