Marshall, Minn. – Time flies when you're golfing well. Minnesota Crookston women's golf is set to tee off on their fourth tournament of the fall season this Saturday and Sunday at the EverSpring Inn & Suites Mustang Invite in Marshall, Minn., hosted by Southwest Minnesota State.
 
Through three tournaments, the Golden Eagles have three straight top 10 finishes, making it 10 times in the top 10 for the Golden Eagles, dating back to last season.
 
Minnesota Crookston is coming off a great performance at The Jewel, tying a school record in the first round with a team score of 311 and finishing above five NSIC programs.
 
As one would expect from a two-time all-NSIC performer, Anaka Lysne (Sr., Wahpeton, N.D.) has led the way for a majority of the season, finishing with a pair of top 10 finishes at the Tracy Lane Memorial and then at The Jewel Invite last week.
 
Emma Pierson (Fr., Cherry Valley, Ill.) has gotten off to a great start on the links. The freshman is coming off 15th place finish at The Jewel but shot three over par during the final round to move up 12 spots. Ainsley McLain has a top 10 finish this season, the first of her career and Lauren Bowyer shot a career low 78 during the first round at The Jewel last weekend.
 
The tournament, including Minnesota Crookston, will feature these schools: Southwest Minnesota State, Morningside, Briar Cliff, Gustavus Adolphus, Chadron State, Sioux Falls, Minnesota State, Bemidji State and Augustana.
 
The 36-hole tournament commences on Saturday and will close out on Sunday.
