Minneapolis, Minn. - The Golden Eagles Men's Cross Country program has secured their first top 10 finish at the Roy Griak Invitational in program history with lows in points with 294 and 8k team average at 28:16 at the Roy Griak Invitational. Noah Revels (R-Jr., Farmington, Minn.) was the leader for the Golden Eagles and had the highest men's individual finish in program history in 17th place at a time of 27:07.
Riley Hanson (R-Jr., Farmington, Minn.) was second for the Golden Eagle in 56th with a time of 28:06, Bennett Allred (Fr., Cedar Rapids, Iowa) was next in 87th with a time of 28:31, then it was Aaden Nauman (So., Windom, Minn.) in 95th with a time of 28:37, Connor Thoennes (Sr., Coleraine, Minn.) came next in 118th with a time of 29:01 with Zach Hanson (R-Jr., Farmington, Minn.) right behind him in 119th with a time of 29:01. Kohen Holcomb (Fr., Marshall, Minn.) finished 136th with a time of 19:13, Robert Ingle (Jr., Laura, Ohio) was next in 139th at 29:14, Jonathan Roth (Fr., Sioux Falls, S.D.) finished 166th with a time of 29:47, Chase Werner (So., Marshall, Minn.) finished 176th at 30:02, Lane Hoefs (Jr., Wadena, Minn.) was 186th with a time of 30:12, and Brayden Paulson (Fr., Little Falls, Minn.) came in 209th with a time of 31:00.
The Golden Eagles finished ahead of five NSIC opponents, this marks the first time the program has beat the University of Minnesota Duluth. The Golden Eagles will be back October 3rd in Colfax, Wisconsin for the Blugold Invitational at 4:15 p.m.
