Joplin, Mo. - The Golden Eagles' 2025 season has officially ended, and it was the best year in program history. That was proven with another strong showing at Regionals. The Golden Eagles finished 18th, besting their previous record of 28th at the 2024 Regionals. That means the Golden Eagles finished ahead of 12 teams, with the previous record being four. They also obliterated their previous record for points with 504, the previous record being 773. The final total team record set today was the lowest team 10k average, which was set at 33:30.
Noah Revels (R-Jr., Farmington, Minn.) became the highest individual finisher at Regionals in program history with a 39th place finish with a time of 31:56 which is a new personal record. Aaden Nauman (So., Windom, Minn.) finished 96th with a time of 33:20 for a new personal record. Riley Hanson (R-Jr., Farmington, Minn.) finished 102nd with a time of 33:27 for a new personal record. All three top runners for the Golden Eagles broke the previous record for highest placement in program history which was previously set by Connor Thoennes (Sr., Coleraine, Minn.) with a placement of 124 in 2023. Connor Thoennes was next for the Golden Eagles, finishing 133rd with a time of 34:12. Robert Ingle (Jr., Laura, Ohio) finished 134th with a time of 34:12. Zach Hanson (R-Jr., Farmington, Minn.) finished 172nd with a time of 35:26.Â
This ends the Golden Eagles best season in program history. It is a year that set program records and set the bar moving forward. This was also the final season for Connor Thoennes, Noah Revels and Robert Ingle, three runners who gave the Golden Eagles all they had in their time here.
