Minnesota Crookston (5-10)
The Golden Eagles will look to get back in the win column in the Sunshine State this week after dropping four in a row to close out their time in Kansas a weekend ago.
The Golden Eagles on offense have been led by some underclassmen.
Hannah Trzinski (Fr., P/1B, Stevens Point, Wis.) has been outstanding, hitting .400 with a .889 OPS. Trzinski leads her team with 14 hits and is third with 16 total bases.
Rayna French (So., C, La Salle, Manitoba) upped her batting average to above .300, after leaving Kansas with six hits in five games.
Chayse Doering (Fr., OF, Shakopee, Minn.) missed all of the games last weekend in Topeka but is hitting .480 on the season and has the team's lone home run. As a team, the Golden Eagles are hitting .267 and are a perfect 9-9 on stolen bases.
The Golden Eagles in the circle have been led by
Charlotte Dombrowski (Jr., P/OF, Valparaiso, Ind.), who is 1-2 on the season, but has a 2.10 ERA in 20 innings of work and is the lone Golden Eagle with more than 10 strikeouts. The Golden Eagles would like to control the walks better, as they have walked 69 hitters in 91.2 innings of work as a team.
Gannon University (5-1)
The Golden Knights are off to a fast start this season, going 5-1 through their first six and having won three games in a row. The Golden Knights' final game in Florida will be against the maroon and gold.
Through just six games, the Golden Knights have used the long ball. Gannon has hit 11 home runs, led by graduate student Natalie Mallozzi, who has three home runs on the year. Emma Smerick, Jenna Clontz, and Abbey Girman each have a pair of home runs on the season. Gannon is hitting .357 as a team this season.
The Golden Knights have pitched it well, as well. Maggie Lenda and Katie Armstrong have combined for 36 strikeouts and a 4-0 record on the season.
D'Youville University (0-0)
The Saints have yet to play a game in 2025.
Jefferson University (0-2)
Located in the heart of Philadelphia, the Rams will be located in the biggest city that the Golden Eagles will play in Florida. The Rams lost a pair of games to No. 15 East Stroudsburg to open their season.
Through a pair of games, the Rams collected just one hit, which came off the bat of Sydnie Lanasa. Jefferson was outhit 20-1 in their two games against the Warriors.
In the circle, the Rams were led by Delaney Alix, who gave up just one earned run in 4.1 innings of work in her first start.
Ursuline College (0-4)
The Arrows, arguably one of the cooler nicknames the Golden Eagles will play this season, have yet to break the ice in the win column this season through four games. Last season, Ursuline didn't win a game in conference play.
This season, the Arrows are being outscored 48-6 and have a team batting average of .259. Jaden Seay and Spenser Mohr are each hitting .375 on the season, while also each knocking in a run. Casey Barton leads the Arrows in hits with four.
The pitching has been an issue. The Arrows have given up 48 runs, and 33 of those have been earned. No pitcher for the Arrows has an ERA less than 10.
The Golden Eagles and Arrows will play each other in the span of 24 hours while in Florida.
Thomas More (4-4)
The Saints are 4-4 on the year and have had an odd season up to this point. They have a win over nationally-ranked McKendree this season, but they also have a 25-0 loss to Lewis University, as well. The Saints will play eight games at the Space Coast Complex and the Space Coast Games.
Thomas More is hitting .251 as a team and is led by Josie Wefer, who is hitting .389 with three doubles on the season. Emily Allphin leads the way with nine RBI and has an on-base percentage of .481. Natalie Harris has eight hits on the season and has a pair of double-digit hit games this season.
Their pitching staff has been pretty comparable to the Golden Eagles. Thomas More has a team ERA of 6.61, but they do have a go-to pitcher in Kylie Ropp. The sophomore has started and finished four games this season, allowing 14 earned runs and 30 hits in 28 innings of work. As a staff, the Saints have struck out 17 hitters on the season.
Saint Anselm College (3-3)
The Golden Eagles take on the Saint Anselm Hawks on their seventh day down south. The Hawks enter the matchup with a 3-3 record, having already faced a few familiar teams from the NSIC. Their results include a 9-0 loss to Sioux Falls, a 6-5 win over St. Cloud State, and a 9-1 victory against the University of Mary.
Offensively, Saint Anselm is led by Sam Wiberg, who has been on fire to start the season, hitting .579 with 11 hits in 19 at-bats. Wiberg was impressive in the win over the University of Mary, going a perfect 3-for-3 with an RBI.
On the mound, the Hawks lean on Sam Ryan, who has posted a 2.95 ERA over 19 innings while holding opponents to a .266 batting average. Ryan leads the team in strikeouts with 11, seven of which came in a dominant complete-game performance against St. Cloud State.
University of New Haven (0-0)
The Golden Eagles will also face the University of New Haven Chargers, who have yet to take the field in 2025.
Franklin Pierce University (3-3)
Minnesota Crookston then faces the Franklin Pierce Ravens, who hold a 3-3 record with wins over Sioux Falls, the University of Mary, and Staten Island. The Ravens have a history of success, having made an NCAA Tournament appearance in the 2022-23 season.
Offensively, Franklin Pierce is hitting .258 as a team, with three players above the .400 mark in Bella Williams, Zoey Galindo, and Georgie Clough. Williams leads the way with a .476 average, collecting 10 hits in 21 at-bats. She also leads the team with seven runs scored and ranks second with six RBIs.
In the circle, the Ravens are led by Kennedy Morris, who has been stellar in 19 innings, posting a 1.47 ERA while allowing just 12 hits. Morris was dominant against the University of Mary, throwing a no-hitter with three strikeouts.
Southern Connecticut State University (2-0)
Next up, the Golden Eagles will face Southern Connecticut State, a team that will have played only eight games by the time they meet. The Owls are off to a strong start, opening their season with a sweep of Bloomfield College.
At the plate, SCSU has four hitters hitting over .330, led by Nicole Spinelli, who is hitting .571. In the series against Bloomfield, she went 4-for-7 with five RBIs and two doubles. Freshman Izzy Ingersoll has also made an early impact, going 3-for-8 with a double, a triple, two runs, and an RBI in her collegiate debut.
The Owls have impressed on both sides of the ball. Ashley Lewis set a career-high with 10 strikeouts and carried a perfect game into the seventh inning before issuing a walk. Meanwhile, Giselle DeLutri dominated in her debut, tossing a seven-inning shutout with 15 strikeouts. Both pitchers earned Northeast-10 "Faces in the Crowd" honors for their performances.
UT Dallas (4-2)
The Golden Eagles will wrap up their trip down south against UT Dallas. The Comets are 4-2 on the season, having faced just three opponents so far.
Offensively, UT Dallas is hitting .255 as a team, led by Julia Maniscalco, Claire Pollack, and Mikayla Hoffman, all hitting over .300. Maniscalco leads the way, hitting .364 with four hits in 11 at-bats.
On the mound, the Comets rely on Madelyn Denn and Allison Koch, each with 16 innings of work. Denn has been particularly dominant, posting a perfect 0.00 ERA and earning wins in three of her six appearances. She was recently named ASC Pitcher of the Week after recording a shutout victory and a save in a sweep over Dallas Christian.
