CROOKSTON, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston jump seat equestrian squad will compete in their final IHSA regular-season show Saturday, March 1 at 1 p.m.at the Charles H. Casey Equine Arena. The Golden Eagles will also host the Zone 7, Region 3 Finals at 9 a.m., Sunday, March 2.

Minnesota Crookston last competed in an IHSA meet November 23 and 24 at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. The Golden Eagles were named the Reserve Champion in the Saturday show in River Falls, Wis. Belle Syrett (So., Winnipeg, Manitoba) won High Point Rider accolades Saturday.
The Golden Eagles were highlighted that weekend by first-place finishes in Open Flat Saturday from Syrett, and Alexandra Wentland (Sr., Colorado Springs, Colo.). In Sunday's show, Wentland took first in Open Flat. Jada Schimke (Jr., Maple Grove, Minn.) earned a first-place ribbon in Limit Fences, while Jane Droll (So., Highland Park, Ill.) placed first in Limit Flat. Krista Duncan (Fr., Hancock, Minn.) placed first in Pre-Novice.
The Golden Eagles will honor six seniors Sunday including Wentland, Christina Fiedler, Eliza Freund, Bethanie Gravelle, Raeanna Danielson, and Zoe Waldron.
