Marshall, Minn. – Minnesota Crookston women's golf finished seventh at the EverSpring Inn & Suites Mustang Invitational and broke a couple of records in the process.
Minnesota Crookston shot 311 in the final round, breaking their record set a season ago. They shot 625 as a team, as well, which shatters the previous school record of 640, which was also set a season ago.
Augustana won the tournament, while Northwest Missouri State and Minnesota State rounded out the top three.
Clara Hanson (Sr., Grand Forks, N.D.) was fantastic yet again, finishing in sixth, shooting 73 for the second consecutive day.
Anaka Lysne (Jr., Wahpeton, N.D.) once again was outstanding on day two, jumping up five spots for her third top-10 finish on the season. Lysne finished in a tie for tenth after shooting 74 on the final day.
Ainsley McLain (So., Grafton, N.D.) was also outstanding on the day, improving upon her day one score, finishing with a 78.
Lauren Bowyer (Jr., Ivanhoe, Minn.) finished with a score of 168, while
Libby Dulmage (So., Leeds, N.D.) also improved upon her score on day one by three strokes.
The seventh place finish for the Golden Eagles makes it the fourth straight top-10 finish to start the year and third straight seventh place finish.
The Golden Eagles will be off for a week before getting back in action at the USF Invitational in Larchwood, Iowa on Oct. 14-15.
