Lake City, Minn. – For the third straight tournament, Minnesota Crookston women's golf moved up on the final day of the tournament. After sitting in ninth yesterday, the Golden Eagles moved up two spots to finish the Watkins Invitational in seventh.
St. Kate's won the Watkins Invitational, while Minnesota State and Sioux Falls rounded out the top three.
Minnesota Crookston shot 317 on the day, improving upon their day one score by six strokes.
Anaka Lysne (Jr., Wahpeton, N.D.) finished in the top-15 for the third straight tournament, finishing in a tie for 15
th after shooting a 153 through 36 holes. Lysne shot a season low 75, catapulting her to the top half of the field.
Clara Hanson (Sr., Grand Forks, N.D.) finished in a tie for 32
nd, while
Lauren Bowyer (Jr., Ivanhoe, Minn.) finished in a tie for 36
th.
Ainsley McLain (So., Grafton, N.D.) improved upon her day one, shooting an 80 on the day.
Libby Dulmage (So., Leeds, N.D.) had an outstanding day two, lowering her score by 11 strokes, shooting 87 on the day.
Minnesota Crookston will continue their fall slate next weekend at the Mustang Invitational, hosted by Southwest Minnesota State.
