Lake City, Minn. – Lukas Justesen (Sr., Detroit Lakes, Minn.) shot a 70 in the final round of the Watkins Invitational, putting him in a tie for 12
th. It's the second lowest round of the season for the senior.
As a team, the Golden Eagles finished in 10
th, shooting a 295 on the day. Concordia-St. Paul won the tournament by 11 strokes, while Winona State and Minnesota State finished second and third.
A number of Golden Eagles, including Justesen, had fantastic days, including
Layton Bartley (Sr., Fargo, N.D.), who shot a 72 on the day.
Ross Koerner (Fr., Grand Forks, N.D.) shot a 76 on the day, while
Andrew Wilhelm (So., Fargo, N.D.) carded a 77 in the round.
Josh Easterly of Concordia-St. Paul won the Invitational by three strokes, shooting 136 through 36 holes.
The Golden Eagles will be back in action next weekend for the fourth of their six fall tournaments. The Golden Eagles will tee off at the 36-hole Regional Preview in St. Joseph, Mo., on Sunday morning.
