Smithville, Mo. - Golden Eagle Men's Golf is in fifth place at the NSIC Championship following a day where the team shot 17 over par. The Golden Eagles have four players in the top 30.
Max Jericho is sitting in first for Winona State, shooting two under in each of the first two rounds.
The Golden Eagles are not the only team that saw a strong start in round one but had a more difficult second round. Concordia St. Paul and Bemidji State had extremely similar days today.Â
The Golden Eagles' leader after round two is Jack Justesen (So., Hawley, Minn.) who shot a 75 today after shooting 74 yesterday, he is tied for 11th in the tournament. Andrew Wilhelm (Jr., Fargo, N.D.) is the second Golden Eagle, tied for 16th, he has shot a 75 in each of the first two rounds.
Third for the Golden Eagles is Marc Bofarull Balleste (Jr., Barcelona, Spain) who is now tied for 21st at the tournament, he shot an 81 today after shooting a 70 yesterday. Gannon Walsh (Sr., Belgrade, Minn.) is fourth for the Golden Eagles and 28th total, he shot a 75 today. Connor Czirjak (Jr., Calgary, Alberta) is fifth for the Golden Eagles and 35th total, he shot an 80 today.
The Golden Eagles will wrap up the NSIC Tournament tomorrow morning with a 9 a.m. tee time.
