CROOKSTON, Minn. - The jumping seat equestrian team is set for a pair of shows at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in River Falls, Wis. Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27.
The Golden Eagles are set for their second set of IHSA meets of the 2024-25 season. Minnesota Crookston competed October 12 and 13 at North Dakota State University. Minnesota Crookston earned a pair of Reserve High Point Team accolades in Fargo, N.D. Jada Schimke (Jr., Maple Grove, Minn.) was the High Point Rider in the show Saturday.
The Golden Eagles had a strong showing in the Fargo meets. Minnesota Crookston notched four first-place ribbons in the Saturday show. Kristen Borchert took first place honors in Intermediate Fences. Schimke had great rides to take first in both Limit Fences and Intermediate Flat. Sophie Gustafson placed first in Novice Flat.
In Sunday's show, Belle Syrett (So., Winnipeg, Manitoba) paced the Golden Eagles by taking first in Open Flat. Gustafson and Jane Droll (So., Highland Park, Ill.) finished first in Limit Flat.
Minnesota Crookston will look to build on the positive start to the season in both of the shows in Wisconsin.
