Larchwood, Iowa – Minnesota Crookston men's golf shot eight strokes better on day two, improving upon their spot on day one to finish in a tie for third with Minot State at the USF Invitational.
Winona State shot 10 strokes under par, winning the tournament, while Augustana finished in second, seven strokes ahead of Minnesota Crookston.
Marc Bofarull Balleste (So., Barcelona, Spain) was fantastic during the final round, shooting a 73, jumping up 12 spots into the top-10. Bofarull Balleste finished with four birdies on the day.
Lukas Justesen (Sr., Detroit Lakes, Minn.) also jumped up a significant amount, moving up seven spots to finish 17
th, shooting two over par on the final day.
Layton Bartley (Sr., Fargo, N.D.) had the biggest jump of any Golden Eagle, moving up a whopping 15 spots, finishing 33
rd.
Holdyn Evjen (Fr., Hermantown, Minn.), who was playing as an individual in this tournament, joined Bofarull Balleste in a tie for 10
th.
The Golden Eagles will close out their fall season next weekend at the Washburn University Invite.
