St. Joseph, Mo. – Connor Czirjak (So., Calgary, Alberta) led the way at the 36-hole Midwest Region Invitational in St. Joseph, Mo., finishing in a three-way tie for seventh. Czirjak was an individual for the tournament and had rounds of 73, 68 and 73, good for 219.
As a team, the Golden Eagles finished in 14
th, shooting 907 during the tournament. Their best round was the first round, with a team score of 297.
Ferris State won the Invitational, while host school, Missouri-St. Louis and Missouri S & T finished in second and third, respectively. Missouri Southern finished in fourth and Tiffin placed fifth.
Marc Bofarull Balleste (So., Barcelona, Spain) finished in a tie for 14
th, shooting 218 on the week.
Lukas Justesen (Sr., Detroit Lakes, Minn.) placed 60
th, while
Andrew Wilhelm (So., Fargo, N.D.) was fantastic on the day, shooting a 74 and moving up 15 spots on the leaderboard.
The Golden Eagles will have a weekend off and then will have their penultimate tournament of the fall, as they compete at the USF Invitational, in Larchwood, Iowa.
