Hudson, Wis. – Minnesota Crookston men's golf improved on their second round score by four strokes to finish the CSP/MSU Fall Brawl in fifth place out of 12 teams.
Winona State was outstanding both days, shooting 289 yesterday and today to win the tournament at 10 over. Concordia-St. Paul was 17 strokes behind Winona State to finish in second, while Upper Iowa placed in third. Bemidji State finished in fourth place, two strokes ahead of Minnesota Crookston.
Individually, the Golden Eagles were led by
Ethan Howes (So., Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta) improved by six strokes from his first 18 holes, shooting a 71 on the day, putting him in a tie for 12
th.
Layton Bartley (Jr., West Fargo, N.D.) tied for 20
th after finishing the tournament six over par.
Lukas Justesen (Jr., Detroit Lakes, Minn.) tied for 27
th after shooting 77 on Tuesday.
Jayme French (Jr., Fargo, N.D.) shot 77 on Tuesday, nine strokes better than Monday for French.
Andrew Wilhelm (Fr., Fargo, N.D.) shot a 75 on Tuesday, six strokes better than his round on Monday.
Tate Carlson of Upper Iowa won the Fall Brawl shooting one under for the tournament.
