Pittsburg, Kan. -- Following a third place finish at the NSIC Preview, their fourth straight finish inside the top three, dating back to last fall, Minnesota Crookston men's golf returns to the links at the Tommy Riggs Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Pittsburg State in Pittsburg, Kan.

The three round tournament will take place at the Crestwood Country Club. The first two rounds will be on Monday and close on Tuesday.

Marc Bofarull Balleste (Jr., Barcelona, Spain) took home his second NSIC Golfer of the Week after winning the NSIC Preview, defeating Peyton Coahran of Winona State in a playoff. Bofarull Balleste finished with a two round score of 141. The Spaniard ranks 202 nationally and 25th in the region.

Jack Justesen (So., Hawley, Minn.) has been fantastic his last three tournaments. The Minnesota State transfer has a 12th, 21st and 14th place finish in his last three meets. Justesen flew up the leaderboard at the NSIC Preview by almost 50 spots during the final round, shooting a 67, tying a school record.

Juniors Andrew Wilhelm (Jr., Fargo, N.D.) and Connor Czirjak (Jr., Calgary, Alberta) will also be in the lineup and have combined for three top-10 finishes this season. Gannon Walsh (Sr., Belgrade, Minn.) will be the final Golden Eagle in the lineup and will look to repeat his performance at the MWSU Holiday Inn Express Invitational, where he placed third.

As has been commonplace this season for the Golden Eagles, it will be a challenging field for the maroon and gold.

Including the Golden Eagles, the field includes: Central Missouri, Winona State, Rogers State, Washburn University, Arkansas-Fort Smith, Central Oklahoma, Concordia-St. Paul, Northwestern Oklahoma State, Missouri Southern State, Bemidji State, Missouri Western State, Northeastern State, Fort Hays State, Newman, Sioux Falls and host school Pittsburg State.

The Golden Eagles are the fifth highest ranked team in the field, behind Winona State, Pittsburg State, Northeastern State and Arkansas-Fort Smith.
