Pittsburg, Kan. - Golden Eagle Men's Golf is one of three teams that finished tied for 13th at the Tommy Riggs Collegiate Invitational. The Golden Eagles shot 81 over par on the day. Day one they shot 31 over par, day two was 22 over and they wrapped up the Invitational at 28 over.
Central Oklahoma took home the tournament win on the weekend with a team score 26 over par, which was seven strokes better than second place Washburn at 33 over. Rounding out the top five are: Central Missouri at 44 over, Winona State at 45 over, and Pittsburg State at 51 over.Â
For the individual scoring, Peyton Coahran won the tournament, as he finished the weekend even.Â
Andrew Wilhelm (Jr., Fargo, N.D.) led the Golden Eagles, finishing 34th at 16 over par. Marc Bofarull Balleste (Jr., Barcelona, Spain) finished 40th at 17 over par, Connor Czirjak (Jr., Calgary, Alberta) finished 51st at 20 over.Â
Gannon Walsh (Sr., Belgrade, Minn.) finished the weekend in 79th shooting 28 over par, Holdyn Evjen (So., Hermantown, Minn.) placed 91st at 34 over, and Jack Justesen (So., Hawley, Minn.) finished 98th.
The Golden Eagles will next head to the Firekeeper Open, which takes place April 6th and 7th in Mayetta, Kansas.
