WAYNE, Neb. – The University of Minnesota Crookston men's cross country team placed 12
th of 14 teams at the NSIC Men's Cross Country Championship Saturday, November 5 at Wayne Country Club in Wayne, Neb. The Golden Eagles clocked an average time of 28:04.42. The Golden Eagles matched their placing of 12
th from the 2021 NSIC Men's Cross Country Championship. The Minnesota Crookston average as a team has dropped each of the last three seasons, as they have continued to show marked improvement since debuting as a program.
Colton Uber (R-So., Brunswick, Ohio) paced the Golden Eagles by placing 50
th with a time of 27:01.09.
Tristan Morneault (R-So., Dieppe, New Brunswick) finished 64
th with a time of 27:25.44.
Connor Thoennes (Fr., Coleraine, Minn.) clocked in at 28:05.31.
Chris Feldewerd (R-So., Melrose, Minn.) ran a 28:39.96, setting a personal record.
Warden Dahlgren (R-So., Edgeley, N.D.) finished in 29:10.30, also setting a personal record.
Chandler Gray (Fr., Dilworth, Minn.) finished in 29:22.22.
Javi Xiong (Jr., Brooklyn Park, Minn.) finished 40:03.42.
Matt Steiger of Augustana University was the individual champion with a time of 24:50.70. Augustana University won the team championship with an average time of 25:06.58.
The Golden Eagles will compete at the Regional Championships Saturday, November 19 at 11:15 a.m. in Joplin, Mo.
