CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston trap team remains in third place in 1A-Conference 4 in the USA College Clay Target League after week two results were released Sunday, October 9. The Golden Eagles have 1,327.00 overall points. They inched closer to Lake Superior College in second place. Lake Superior College is just 9.5 points ahead of the Golden Eagles in the standings. Southwest Wisconsin Technical College leads the conference with 1,467 points.
Cole Girtz (Jr., Park Rapids, Minn.) ranks 13
th in the entire USA College Clay Target League with an average of 24.25.
Brandon Van Den Einde (Fr., Fertile, Minn.) ranks tied for 17
th with an average of 24.0.
Lily Krona (So., Bemidji, Minn.) ranks tied for 28
th with an average of 23.75, as does
Charles Walsh (Sr., Park Rapids, Minn.) and
Nick Grams (Sr., Belle Plaine, Minn.).
Girtz and Krona guided Minnesota Crookston in week two by connecting on 50 targets for the Golden Eagles.
Josiah Bullivant (Sr., Dassel, Minn.), Girtz, Krona,
Gracie Lunsetter (So., Gatzke, Minn.), and
Jaeden McCleary (Sr., Enderlin, N.D.) each had rounds of 25 in week two. Krona is tied for first as the best female in the USA College Clay Target League with an average of 23.75.
Hailey Olson (Jr., Albertville, Minn.) is tied for fifth with an average of 23.25.
Alyssa Kasprick (Sr., Thief River Falls, Minn.) is eighth with an average of 23.0. Girtz ranks fifth for males in the conference. Van Den Einde is tied for seventh in the conference for males. Krona leads the conference for females. Olson is tied for fourth in the conference. Kasprick is sixth in the conference for females.
Heather Kaup (Fr., Forest Lake, Minn.) is tied for seventh for females in the conference, while
Kelsey Harms is tied for 10
th in the conference.
Krona and Girtz led the way by hitting 50-of-50 targets for the week. Van Den Einde was 49-of-50 for the week. Bullivant and Walsh connected on 48-of-50 targets. Grams, Harms, and McCleary went 47-of-50 for the week. Kasprick and Olson were 46-of-50.
Lane Hanson (Fr.) and Lunsetter were 45-of-50. Kaup connected on 44-of-50 targets.
Ellen Payne (So., St. Louis Park, Minn.) and
Collin Schlomann (Fr., Redwood Falls, Minn.) hit 43-of-50 targets.
Cali Gutknecht (Fr., Mayer, Minn.),
Madie Wildfeuer (Sr., Ormsby, Minn.), and
Peyton Verbout (Sr., Goodridge, Minn.) connected on 42-of-50 targets.
Hunter Kasprowicz (So., Radium, Minn.) was 36-of-50, while
