CROOKSTON, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston trap team is set to compete in the 2025 USA College Clay Target League National Trap Shooting Championship October 31-November 2 at the Brittany Shooting Park in Bunker Hill, Ill. 

The Golden Eagles will compete against 24 teams across the USA College Clay Target League. Minnesota Crookston is competing against Concordia College (Minn.), Southwest Wisconsin Technical College, Western Michigan University, Bismarck State College, Western Technical College, Bethany Lutheran College, Lakeland College, Lindenwood University, Alfred State College, Illinois College, University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, Williston State College, Blackhawk Technical College, Finger Lakes Community College, University of Mary, Montcalm Community College, Allen Community College, Dakota College at Bottineau, Mid Michigan College, McPherson College, Maine Maritime Academy, Valley City State University, Ferris State University, and SUNY-Delhi. 

The Golden Eagles finished fourth in USA College Clay Target League 1A-Conference 7. Minnesota Crookston was led by Jayden Bergerson (Sr., Gully, Minn.), who tied for 16th during the regular season in conference, as did Lucas Wavra (So., East Grand Forks, Minn.). Braxton Qual (Jr., Mahnomen, Minn.) tied for 24th in the conference. Kelsey Harms (Sr., Norwood Young America, Minn.), Kallen Littler (So., Bemidji, Minn.), Dessa Terning (Fr., Dassel, Minn.), Kara Wold (Jr., Belgrade, Minn.), and Heidi Zimmerman (Fr., Motley, Minn.) tied for 36th in the conference standings. 

Minnesota Crookston placed seventh of 16 teams at the 2024 USACCTL National Trap Shooting Championship. They took second at the National Championship in 2023. Minnesota Crookston will begin competing Saturday, November 1 at 9 a.m. at Field 1.
