BUNKER HILL, Ill. - The University of Minnesota Crookston trap team finished 11th of 20 teams after the two-day USA College Clay Target League National Championship at Brittany Shooting Park in Bunker Hill, Ill. The Golden Eagles secured a total score of 917 for the tournament. 

Jayden Bergerson (Sr., Gully, Minn.) was 39th for High Gun after scoring a 188 over two days. Bergerson was 30th for Gold High Gun for male shooters. Rebecca Morstad (So., Cavalier, N.D.) had a combined score of 178, and was 27th for Gold High Gun for female shooters. 

Austin Hughes (So., New York Mills, Minn.) placed 12th for Silver Male for High Gun. Eli Devore (So., Park Rapids, Minn.) placed 30th. Kelsey Harms (Sr., Norwood Young America, Minn.) won the High Gun for Silver Females hitting 186-of-200 targets for the Championship. Kara Wold (Jr., Belgrade, Minn.) took seventh, while Allison Jepson (Jr., Frazee, Minn.) was 16th, Sydney Huwe (Sr., Carver, Minn.) 17th, and Heidi Zimmerman (Fr., Motley, Minn.) 20th. 

Harms paced the Golden Eagles on day two, connecting on 96-of-100 targets, and claiming the High Gun for Silver Females. Kallen Littler (So., Bemidji, Minn.) and Bergerson each hit 93-of-100 targets Sunday in Bunker Hill. Morstad went 92-of-100 for day two. Lucas Wavra (So., East Grand Forks, Minn.) and Hughes each knocked down 90-of-100 targets. 

Lindenwood University won the USACCTL National Championship with a score of 982, defeating Lake Land College by 10 points. The High Gun for Gold Male went to Lindenwood's Tyler Marshall. The High Gun for Gold Female was Anne Rawe of Lindenwood. Harms for the High Gun for Silver Female. The High Gun for Silver Male went to Dalton Robertson of McPherson College.

Minnesota Crookston will continue their season in the spring with the USA College Clay Target League slate.
