CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston trap team shot their second-best scores of the season to inch closer to the Southwest Wisconsin Technical College and Lake Superior College in the USA College Clay Target League 1A-Conference 4 standings. The Golden Eagles have 2,437 overall points. They are just 556 points out of first place and 465 points out of second place as they head into the final week of the regular season. The Golden Eagles are currently in third place. They lead Lake Area Technical College and Mount Aloysius College.
Nick Grams (Sr., Belle Plaine, Minn.) and
Cole Girtz (Jr., Park Rapids, Minn.) were both a perfect 50-of-50 on their targets for the week. Girtz and Grams are tied for 10
th in the entire USA College Clay Target League with a season average of 24.13.
Lily Krona (So., Bemidji, Minn.) is tied for 24
th in the USA College Clay Target League with an average of 23.75. Grams and Girtz are tied for the 10
th-best male shooters in the entire USA College Clay Target League. Krona is the second-best female in the USA College Clay Target League.
Alyssa Kasprick (Sr., Thief River Falls, Minn.)) is tied for sixth in the USA College Clay Target League among females with an average of 22.88.
Grams and Girtz are tied for fifth in their conference for male shooters. Krona remains the top female shooter in the conference. Kasprick is tied for fourth.
Heather Kaup (Fr., Forest Lake, Minn.) is seventh, while
Hailey Olson (Jr., Albertville, Minn.) is 10
th.
In addition to Grams and Girtz going a perfect 50-of-50,
Charles Walsh (Sr., Park Rapids, Minn.) and
Jaeden McCleary (Sr., Enderlin, N.D.) were 49-of-50.
Peyton Verbout (Sr., Goodridge, Minn.) hit 48-of-50 targets for the Golden Eagles. Krona hit 47-of-50 targets for the week. Kasprick and
Ellen Payne (So., St. Louis Park, Minn.) connected on 46-of-50 targets.
Gracie Lunsetter (So., Gatzke, Minn.) and
Brandon Van Den Einde (Fr., Fertile, Minn.) were 45-of-50. Kaup,
Kelsey Harms (Fr., Norwood Young America, Minn.), and
Josiah Bullivant (Sr., Dassel, Minn.) hit 44-of-50 targets.
Collin Schlomann (Fr., Redwood Falls, Minn.) was 42-of-50.
Madie Wildfeuer (Sr., Ormsby, Minn.) finished 41-of-50.
Lane Hanson (Fr., Ada, Minn.) was 40-of-50.
Cali Gutknecht (Fr., Mayer, Minn.),
