Minnesota Crookston Softball Hits The Road to Bismarck and Bemidji For Four NSIC Road Tilts

CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston softball team will play four mid-week NSIC games Wed., April 18 and Thurs., April 19. The Golden Eagles will take on University of Mary Wed., April 18 at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. at the Sanford Sports Complex in Bismarck, N.D. The games were originally scheduled for Tues., April 17 at 2 and 4 p.m. in Crookston, Minn., but have been relocated due to field conditions at the UMC Softball Field. Minnesota Crookston will then trek down U.S. Highway 2 to Bemidji, Minn. to take on Bemidji State University Thurs., April 19 at 2 and 4 p.m. at Chet Anderson Stadium.

Minnesota Crookston enters the week with a 5-27 (1-9 NSIC) mark as they are looking to halt a nine-game losing streak dating back to a win in their conference season opener March 30 over Minnesota State University Moorhead.

U-Mary comes into Wednesday with an 11-14 (2-10 NSIC) record. The Marauders are currently one spot in the standings above the Golden Eagles. The games will be vital for both teams moving into the rest of the season.

Bemidji State enters the week with a 13-17 (2-6 NSIC) record. The Beavers are just ahead of the Golden Eagles and Marauders in the conference standings.

Minnesota Crookston has looked to Maycee Trujillo (Jr., 3B, Sioux Falls, S.D.), who is batting .382 with six runs, dour doubles and eight RBIs.
