CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston softball team will head to Minot, N.D. for the second-consecutive weekend for another Minot State Invitational at the Air-Supported Dome.
The Golden Eagles will play four games on the weekend. Minnesota Crookston will take on Minot State University Sat., Feb. 24 at 12 p.m. and Carroll College (Mont.) Sat., Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. Minnesota Crookston will round out the weekend against Minot State Sun., Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. and Carroll Sun., Feb. 25 at 12 p.m.

Minnesota Crookston comes into Saturday with a 2-4 mark on the season. The Golden Eagles went 1-1 last weekend with a decisive 10-1 victory over Minnesota State University Moorhead and a 5-1 loss to University of Providence (Mont.).

Minot State has posted a 10-2 mark on the season coming into the weekend. The Beavers have losses to California State University, Dominquez Hills and Concordia University (Ore.). They are in their first season under Head Coach Dave Kivett.
The Beavers are hitting .377 on the season. They have been led by Tori Zimmermann, who is hitting .587 with 11 runs, six doubles, three home runs and 16 RBIs. Isis Cabral comes in batting .500 with 13 runs scored, six doubles, three triples and 14 RBIs, while Julia Suchan is hitting .488 with 20 runs scored, five doubles, three triples and 13 RBIs.
Minot State has a 4.58 ERA as a pitching staff. They are paced by Kylie Patrick, who is 6-1 with a 4.04 ERA in 34.2 innings pitched. Laura Mendez is 4-1 with a 5.01 ERA in 43.1 innings pitched.
Carroll is an NAIA school in Helena, Montana. The Fighting Saints are 4-3 on the season. Carroll is led at the plate by Natalie Gaber, who is batting .400 with two runs scored, one home run and four RBIs. Allison Williams is hitting .385 with three runs scored, two home runs and four RBIs, while Jaylin Kenney is hitting .304 with four runs scored.
Carroll is led in the circle by Allison Williams, who is 2-1 with a 0.70 ERA in 20 innings pitched. Williams has three complete games on the season. Tess Eaton is 2-0 with a .147 ERA in 14.1 innings pitched with two complete games.
