CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston softball team will take on Minot State University Thurs., April 6 at 2 and 4 p.m. at Herb Parker Stadium in Minot, N.D.
The Golden Eagles enter Thursday with an 11-16-1 (1-4-1 NSIC) mark after splitting with Minnesota State University Moorhead on Sunday. Minot State comes into Thursday with a 10-9 (2-4 NSIC) mark after splitting with University of Minnesota Duluth.

Minnesota Crookston is hitting .269 at the plate this season led by
Victoria Bayliss, who is batting .344 with 17 runs scored with seven RBI's. In addition,
Maggie Morales is batting .344 with nine runs scored, six doubles and 10 RBI's, while
Hailey Fitzpatrick is batting .3338 with 15 runs scored and 12 RBI's.
Samantha Proctor has also had a strong start to her career as she is batting .326 with eight runs scored and seven RBI's.

Bailey Braatz has had a strong senior season with an 8-5 mark and a 3.21 ERA in 85.0 innings pitched with 42 strikeouts and 25 walks. In addition to Braatz,
Kassidy Klaphake is 3-4 with a 5.38 ERA in 39.0 innings pitched. Minnesota Crookston has a 5.16 team ERA on the 2017 season.
The Golden Eagles will look to tie their program record of 12 wins Thursday, a mark that was set during the 2004 season.
Minot State is hitting .313 on the season with 13 home runs and 95 RBI's. The Beavers are led by Jordan Grant, who is batting .481 with 16 runs scored and one RBI. In addition, Tori Zimmermann comes in batting .397 with 17 runs scored, 11 doubles, 4 home runs and 23 RBI's. Ashley Hill comes in for Minot State hitting .382 with nine runs scored, five home runs and 21 RBI's.
The Minot State pitching staff looks to Clarissa Ramirez, who is 4-5 with a 2.17 ERA in 48.1 innings pitched. The Beavers also utilize Jenn Spencer, who is 5-4 with a 2.65 ERA in 60.2 innings pitched.
Minnesota Crookston and Minot State played at the Minot State Invitational earlier this season with the Beavers winning 7-1 Feb. 16.
