Minnesota Crookston Softball Treks to Bismarck for Mid-Week Series with U-Mary

CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston softball team will head to Bismarck, N.D. Wed., April 19 to face University of Mary at 1 and 3 p.m. The games are schedule to be played at Clem Kelley Softball Complex in Bismarck, N.D.

Minnesota Crookston enters Wednesday with an 11-28-1 (1-16-1 NSIC) mark. The Golden Eagles are looking to snap a 13-game losing streak as they take on the Marauders. The U of M Crookston is just one win shy of tying the school record for wins with 12.

The Golden Eagles have been led at the plate by Samantha Proctor (Fr., C, Champlin, Minn.), who is batting .351 with eight runs scored, one home run and seven RBI's. Victoria Bayliss (Jr., OF, West Bloomfield, Mich.) has also had a strong season as she is hitting .311 with 15 runs scored, four doubles, two triples and 12 RBI's.

In the circle, Bailey Braatz (Sr., RHP, Buffalo, Minn.) has paced the Golden Eagles with a 8-11 mark with a 4.16 ERA in 109.1 innings pitcher. Heather Cunningham (Jr., RHP, Jacksonville, Fla.) has been strong in relief with a 4.30 ERA in 29.1 innings pitched with two saves.

U-Mary has posted a 14-29 (8-10 NSIC) mark. The Marauder bats have looked to Rebekkah Keller, who is batting .372 with 28 runs scored and 10 RBI's. In addition, Colleen Crutchfield is hitting .336 with 15 runs scored and 21 RBI's, while Taylor Mendez is hitting .321 with 26 runs scored, eight home runs and 26 RBI's.
